Most failures occur after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. There are many components and parts that can fail regardless of your vehicle’s age and driving habits. Additionally, the older a vehicle gets and the more miles driven, the greater the odds of a malfunction or breakdown. By purchasing an extended warranty prior to any major issues, you will have peace of mind knowing you are covered!
If price is a factor, we suggest enrolling earlier rather than later. Pricing is determined by the vehicle’s make, model, year, and overall mileage. The price of an extended warranty increases as the vehicle’s age and mileage increase. Thus, investing in a warranty program early in your ownership is advisable. Additionally, for obvious reasons, it is recommended to always have your car under a warranty program to avoid a lapse in coverage when the manufacturer’s warranty expires.
If you decide to sell or trade your vehicle, you can either receive a prorated refund on the unused portion of the warranty or transfer it to the buyer of your vehicle. Either way, you can keep your vehicle protected. Lastly, if you are selling your vehicle, an extended warranty can increase its value. It also gives the buyer peace of mind and helps with the vehicle selling process.
